Brayka Bay Reef Resort

Situated directly on the Marsa Brayka Bay, Brayka Bay Reef Resort offers water sports activities amongst the coral reefs of the Red Sea. The extensive gardens include a tennis court and fitness centre.

Careful with the food.

Very good location huge territory very well entretenu. A lot of flowers and trees. The see reef was probably the best in Marsa Alam. Turtles, fishes and very nice corals. Good diving centre. The personal was attentive and helpful. The massage was excellent good quality for the price. The desert trip on quadricycle was also nice and safely.

The hot water possible to use only until the 3-4 pm after no hot water, was too difficult for the babies 10 months old. No internet, you should bye SIM card 20-30 euros approximativement. The beauty salon, pedicure was not good quality for the big price, not advice. My daughter 12 years has food poisoning in the end of our holiday, when I ask the room to stay after our check out…( our flight was at 20 pm) we should to pay extra for the room! Even if my daughter was not feeling well and needed the bed for the sleep before the flight. She have serious food poisoning. Be careful with the fresh vegetables, juices, cocktails. Very dangerous. She still ill, however we back 1 week ago she is on the hôpital. Take all possible medicaments anti gastro with you.

Good location, beautiful reef , well maintained and pretty grounds , hard working and mostly friendly staff ,food could be improved and rooms updated but generally good value for money. Moustafa at reception helpul , Mr Yehia also ,and kind waiter Roman in restaurant. Entertainment team hardworking and professional

Would definitely come back if possible.

Everything was excellent, There is an Italian Chef and it is really visible on the food quality. Also the animation team is Italian, very nice evening shows. Staff are friendly and helpfull. We were there over NYE and the athomsphere was splendid. We also needed pharmacy, and the service and equipment is top European.

Most of the animation team speak only Italian so other kids may be in disadvantage. Bed matresses were very used and sleeping was very unconfortable. Sadly in the winter you can not use the slides as the pool is not heated, if they would consider separtion from the main pool and heating of the ending pool from slides it would certainly raise the hotel raiting.

Great experience in the Red Sea

The resort in general is quite great. A lot of good food with variety, big spaces and amazing snorkeling bay (sometimes even dolphins come inside the bay and you can swim and observe them). Good diving center with great instructors. Great rooms and comfy beds.

The WIFI never works. Only available in the lobby and so slow that everything times out, only messaging services were sometimes working. You better get a SIM card if you need internet connection. The animation team, while doing their best, prepared shows, some of them acceptable but many of them were quite childish and silly.

Wonderful

Wide and good buffet selection at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Amazing variety of activities and spaces, which we never felt were overcrowded. The house reef is stunning, some of the best corals we have ever seen around the world. The staff was truly amazing from tne beginning to the end! I would strongly suggest going for the quads experience in the desert, really special and worth every minute.

Queues at lunch and dinner around Easter were a bit too long, but I guess that's almost inevitable. Nothing to be worried about anyway, just 5min to wait at times.

Overall I enjoyed my stay very much.

The spacious room and fresh water bottles provided every day. Good airco and nice view (room 11101) . The very friendly hotel staff. The Coraya dive center attached to the hotel which was professionally run.

The stampede at meal times (mostly due to guests with no manners). Food quality was ok but not great. Wi-fi speed could be improved.

It’s okay. But would look elsewhere for better experience.

All inclusive including free drinks.

The standards of quality isn’t great because the foreign management do not know how to manage staff properly. I witnessed a German manager shame an Egyptian chef by making fun of his process in front of guests. It wasn’t nice to see. Looked like the slavery days.

Excellent safe colourful paradise

So relaxing. Beautiful gardens, pristine house reef. Great scuba centre. Great all you can eat buffets. Really hard to fault. Fantastic value for money.

The beds were a little hard, but we mentioned this to reception and they immediately added soft topper mattress along with extra soft pillows. Excellent service.

We specifically chose this hotel as we had read on a...

We specifically chose this hotel as we had read on a snorkeling forum it was on a sheltered bay and had a great house reef. Both the northern and the southern stretches of the reef are beautiful. Healthy coral with beautiful wall structures you swim next to, as well as pinnacles on the sandy bottom. We found the northern reef more reliable with water clarity. Our deluxe room was wonderful-very clean and exceeded our expectations. You have to pay for WiFi but this seems to be the case in all hotels in Egypt. WiFi was pretty reasonable at only 20euros for 7 days. Although this is a pretty big hotel (a fact that initially put us off wanting to stay here), there is plenty of space and we were able to have a quiet, peaceful stay. We booked via Booking.Com and we had very quick responses via this platform with the hotel for questions we had before our arrival.

The weather and beach are +++

Location was amazing, the bay is beautiful. The beach was quiet and the pier and reef is gorgeous. The dive center is very good, Ahmed was amazing, super friendly staff and the diving did not disappoint!

The rooms are outdated, wifi is expensive (20€ for a week) and not very good. This is not ok, it's 2019. Buffet area needs a decent updated, it's too small for the number of guests and the food is very mediocre (def if you are vegetarian or vegan). It feels like a flashback to the 90's.

Very nice

The food and service at the restaurant were very good. The Resort, beach and facilities were very nice, perfect to have some days off, just relaxing.

1.- The beach in general and some areas around the pier could been improved. The staff and employees of the Resort can dedicate the same energy that they use in the garden areas to pick up the trash that is around the beach. That will improved the quality and the most important will contribute with the care of our natural resources. We just have one planet earth. 2.- The shows and animation could also been improved with more interesting activities and people with qualified experience. They can invest in more cultural activities, offering live traditional music with the colors of the folklore and authentic Egyptian flavor.
